Conversions

Conversions allow your users to exchange cryptocurrency for fiat currency, with funds settled directly to a registered bank account.

The process involves two steps:

1. Request a quote to get the current exchange rate.
2. Create an order to lock it in and initiate the conversion: orders lock the quoted rate for up to 30 minutes. each order requires a:
   1. Source wallet: the wallet whose address will be shown to your end user to receive the crypto deposit
   2. Verified bank account registered in your account.

Once the deposit is received, Waltrex process the conversion.

Sandbox Testing

Crypto-to-fiat conversions should be tested using your sandbox credentials and sandbox wallet addresses.

Please note that sandbox orders are not completed, as fiat settlement is not performed in the sandbox environment. You can use the sandbox to test your integration, including wallet creation, quote generation, order creation, and deposit detection, but orders will not progress to a completed state or result in a fiat payout.
